Haunted House # 1

I don't know if spirits are attracted to me, or if I am just sensitive to them. Over the years I've had a number of experiences in homes I have lived in. The first was when I was in my teens we lived in an old farm house near Santa Claus, IN. It sat on about 10 acres and had been built up around an old log cabin that was about 10 X 30. By the time we lived there, it was a 5 bedroom 3 bath home with hardwood floors throughout the house. At night when everyone was in bed, I could here someone walking up the stairs to the second floor, then down the hall and up the stairs to the attic, "Which was floored as well" and walk around up there. Whenever we would check no one would be there. In that same house there was one particular room that we never used, and no one ever went into. It was because everyone that went in that room said it made them feel very uncomfortable. The only thing known about the home was at one time the property had been a working farm and it was owned by an old veterinarian.

Sister

 Sister

When my sister and her husband moved into there house in Florida every thing was fine at first but after a while strange things started happening things would move from were thay would always be kept, they would leave only to come home and find cabnets open and things rearranged. Doors open and close by them selvs. And when you're in the bathroom you can here whispering.

She later found out that the previous owner and his wife were in the habit of fighting all the time. One day he had come home.

And she was waiting to confront him and she was armed with a broom handle that she had sharpened to a point when he entered the house she asked him for money when she did they got into a fight, during the fight

she attacked him with the broom handle he deflected the attack and pushed her back when he did she fell back hit her head on the counter and died.

At this point the husband freaked out and didn't know what to do. So instead of calling the police he decided to put her body in a 55 gallon drum that he had and buried her in the back yard under the water heater.

The only reason the husband was found out and his wife was found is because about six months later he was was at a local bar drunk when he struck up a conversation with another person he was drinking with and said ya know I killed my wife about 6 months ago and buried her in the back yard under the water heater. The conversation was over heard by someone at the next table

"who happened to be the country sheriff"

The police then got a warrant and excavated the back yard found his wife's body. And the husband was arrested and convicted and served 8 months for involuntary manslaughter for her death. To this day my sister and her husband still live in the same house. And still have things open and close and move on there own,  And the whispering in the bathroom so happens the hot water heater in the backyard is right next to the bathroom.

And the creepyst part of this whole story is the story of this was told to her buy by the next door neighbor. Who is the previous owner of her home." The husband who killed his wife"

And he still lives next door with wife number 6.

Oujia Board

I know this is stupid, but when I was around 18 some of my friends and I played with a Oujia board. After that is when most of the activity started to happen. In the middle of us playing with it I would make jokes against the ghosts or spirts. I guess one got mad and we heard something hit the window. I went outside and no one was around. I went back in and asked if it was the spirt. The board replied "Yes. h-a-h-a-h-a-h-a". We played with it a few different times. At my own house small things would happen. Most of the time I would hear my bathroom tap shut off and on through the night.

After that, when my boyfriend and I moved in together, 4 doors down from my dads apartment where I had lived before. More things started happening in the new apartment. The water continued, and once we woke up to something scratching our wooden closet door. It wasn't a mouse or something, it wasn't down by the floor. It was towards the top of the door. Another time I was alone in the apartment, doing laundry, and the cabinets in the kitchen started opening and slamming shut. I knew I was alone.

When we moved into a house on the west side, things kind of picked up. We would have loose change on our dresser, in the middle of the night we could hear the change move. It would start to slide off the dresser and starting to fly across the room, landing on us. If it was going to slide off it would of been the opposite way, if that makes sense. No way it would pick up enough momentum to fly and hit us in our sleep.

We always have a fan in our bedroom and livingroom. There's times where we clearly stop feeling the wind and it feels like someone is standing in front of it.

Other things is I wake up to are: 3 small random scratches on me, my son following random things around the house with his eyes, and sometimes goes up to thin air. He hold his hands up like he's trying to be held. Ive seen some figures, and my dog will randomly growl in the dark

He definitely does when we think someone's infront of the fan. Sometimes my phone acts weird like someone is tapping random things on my screen. It's happened to every smart phone since the experience with a Ouji board when was 18.

Invisable attacker

When I was younger, I was in my bedroom playing video games while my parents were out. All of a sudden I heard my dog clawing down the hallway, and when I looked he was being dragged by his back legs down the hallway. Nothing was there. I turned the corner, and when I saw him his back legs were higher than I was (he was a big dog). His paws were scraping on the floor, and all of a sudden he fell and ran right on past me. This is the short version of the story.

Grandpa's UFO story

My grandparents lived on the outskirts of Owensboro KY. My grandpa told me this story. It was in the late 60'S or the early 70's. One night, he was in the living room watching TV, and the lights began to flicker. At first it was slight, and he didn't think much of it but it started getting worse until finally the lights went completely out. So he thought to himself, "what the heck is going on?"

So he decided to go outside and see if he could find out what was going. So when he went out into the back yard and looked up, he saw some sort of craft hovering about 20 or 30 feet above the house. As he was standing there in complete astonishment, the craft suddenly shot up at an incredible speed, and it was gone in an instant. Unfortunately, he was the only one who saw it. Though, to the day he died he always talked about the UFO he saw that night.

Good bye

When I was 24 my father passed away. This was extremely hard on me because growing up I don't remember him being sick or having many medical problems. I had reached the age where our relationship had finally changed from being father and son to being good friends. I often think back and smile, thinking how smart he became between the time I was 16 and 23.

When my father first got sick, it was extremely hard on the whole family. The hospital he was in was the V.A. hospital, 4 hours away. That made it hard to be there for him, especially since he was in and out of the hospital for the last 6 months of his life. Just as well, he went through a number of surgeries.

The last 4 months he wasn't able to come home. For part of that time I was able to rent my mom in an apartment there so she could be there for him. Eventually, she had to give that up and move back home for financial reasons. The hardest part of the whole ordeal was when he passed away, he was was alone. We weren't able to be there with him to say goodbye.

In the following months after his death, my mom, my sister and I each had experences where my father appeared to us.

We all lived in the same house, my sister was the owner. It was divided into two apartments. I lived in the upstairs apartment and mom lived in the downstairs with my sister. Moms room was in the front of the house, she had several windows that face the street. She didn't drive.

So dads car sat in front of the house for several months until we were able to sell it. On more than one occasion mom told me that she saw my dad sitting in the car.

My sister was home alone one day, doing her normal house cleaning while her husband was at work and the kids were at school. She suddenly had a feeling that she wasn't alone. She looked up and saw dad standing in the doorway between the kitchen and dining room, smiling at her.

On another occasion her whole family was in the living room watching TV one night, and there was a large mirror on the wall over the fire place. It didn't exactly fall, but slowly slid down the wall, over the mantel and onto the floor, it came to rest in front of the fireplace without as much as a chip to the mirror.

My own experience was slightly different, it came in the form of a dream. In my dream I found myself walking down the street in a downtown area that didn't seam familiar. There was a row of store fronts I was walking by, when I came across my dad, standing in the doorway of one of the stores. He was leaning against the door frame and smiling at me. I stopped and asked him how he was. He told me he was doing good and not to worry about him.

You may think this was just a dream, but this was the most vivid dream I have ever had. I'm writing this over 40 years after I had it, and I remember it as clear as if it was from last nights awakening.

So I'm convinced this was his way of telling each of us good bye, in a way that would be meaningful to each of us.

Precogntive dream

In late 1963, the bell system introduced touch tone dialing. At the time of this, I was eight.

We lived in Indianapolis by time I was about nine or ten, and we had touch tone service at our home. Even at a young age I was interested in technology and its inner mechanisms. Just like all other tech, I thought this new technology was fascinating, and that it was way better than rotary dialing. A few months after we had the new service installed in our home, I had a dream. In this dream I had a phone that was very small and could fit in the palm of my hand, it had no cord or head set, It had a touch to key pad on it just like our house phone. Just as well in the dream, I could see towers that this phone communicated with to make calls.

Now the first call made from a cell wasn't until early 1973, a full 8 or 9 years or so after my dream. Was this just a dream of fantasy? Or was is a precognition? I say you decide for yourselves.
